    CBI includes information on nearly 9 million buildings of all sorts: apartment buildings, factories, office buildings, stores and shopping centers, restaurants, medical buildings, and more than 100 other categories.

    CBI includes data on who owns each of these buildings – plus an estimate of each building’s recent market value.

    For most buildings, we know the age of the structure, its square footage, and lot size.

    We typically know which buildings are owned by absentee landlords and which are owner-occupied.

    There are dozens of additional details often available: Number of stories, number of units, heating fuel used, type of roof cover, and much more.

    This database has multiple uses – especially for manufacturers and distributors of building products, firms that offer building services (from insurance to waste management), and contractors.
